Patients

We take your care seriously. That means making sure we have the right levels of nursing and midwifery staff on our wards to care for you safely and meet your needs.

Update - Our response to COVID-19

As part of our response to COVID-19, we have taken the decision to limit all but essential visiting at our hospitals. Currently, no visitors are permitted with the exception of:

  • Birthing mothers who are allowed one birthing partner.
  • Paediatric patients who are allowed one parent or carer.
  • End-of-life patients who are allowed one visitor.
  • Patients with specific care needs (i.e. dementia or other disabilities) who are allowed one visitor when authorised by relevant Matron/Head of Nursing for the ward/area.

This decision has not been taken lightly but the policy is in place to protect the health of our patients, staff and the public.

We will update our visiting policy as appropriate during our response to COVID-19.

Ward sister comforting a patient

We want to make sure you have all the information you need while you are a patient at King’s. You can find out more about our services, the test and scans and ongoing therapies that we offer and our outpatient appointments system.

We explain how to help us keep King’s clean as well as your rights as a patient and how to access your patient records. And you can let us know how we are doing by filling in one of our patient surveys.

There is also lots of useful information such as pharmacy opening hours, beside facilities and where to find our shops, cafes and restaurants.
