Governor Elections 2026: Nominations

If you would like to give your community a voice in shaping local health services, consider nominating yourself to be a King’s governor.

Elections are being held for the following governor vacancies:

  • Public: Lambeth – 1 vacancy
  • Public: Southwark – 1 vacancy
  • Public: Bromley – 4 vacancies
  • Public: South East London (SEL) – 1 vacancy
  • Patient: 2 vacancies
  • Staff: Allied Health Professionals – 1 vacancy
  • Staff: Nurses and Midwives – 1 vacancy
  • Staff: Medical and Dentistry – 1 vacancy

Nominations are open and will close at 5pm on 5 December 2025.

Elections will take place in January 2026.

How to apply

We welcome nominations from everyone as long as they meet the following criteria:

  1. You are a member of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and aged 16 or over at the time of nominations (find out more information about becoming a member);
  2. Fulfil the eligibility criteria for membership as set out in paragraph 6 to 10 (pages 8 to 14) of the Trust’s Constitution; and
  3. Belong to a constituency in which there is a vacancy:

a. Patient – Members who have attended King’s as a patient or patient carer in the preceding 6 years and reside outside the South East London Boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark, Bromley, Lewisham, Bexley and Greenwich; or
b. Public – Members residing in the London Boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark, Bromley, and wider South East London (Lewisham, Bexley and Greenwich); or
c. Staff – employed by, or a volunteer of, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

You are not eligible for nomination if you are currently a governor at another NHS Foundation Trust.
