In June 2026, we launched our new strategy and values for 2026 to 2031.
Our strategy and values have been shaped by patients, partner organisations, and local people. They set out what we plan to achieve over the next five years.
Our strategy
Our refreshed vision is to transform healthcare. As part of our strategy, we have agreed six strategic ambitions:

- Pioneering research, innovation and education
- Strong, successful partnerships
- Timely and efficient care

Our values
As important, our four values will guide the behaviours we live by and how we work.
Our values were agreed following a long period of engagement with staff and patients, which included focus groups, feedback sessions, and online surveys.

Next steps, and the road ahead
For each of our new strategic ambitions, we have clear measures of success. These are set out in the full strategy document.
Our teams here at King’s will translate these into detailed delivery plans for the services we provide.
Our values will drive the behaviours we expect from each other, and towards the hundreds of thousands of patients who use our services each year.
