Staff governors
Our staff governors are elected from a variety of roles to represent the interests of all our staff across all our sites.
Michael Bartley – Nursing and Midwifery
I’m both delighted and privileged to serve as a staff governor at King’s. Having worked here for twelve years, I am currently a Lead Nurse at the King’s College Hospital site, working with all care groups across the Trust to strive for excellent patient care and experience. In my role as a staff governor, I aim to work alongside the council of governors to effectively represent the interests of NHS foundation trust members and the public.
As a dedicated senior nurse leader, I work closely with all levels of staff, from the site executive to the floor, providing assurance to the Director of Nursing. I actively listen to staff and patients through various forums, triangulating patient feedback with workforce challenges to guide the direction of nursing and patient flow.
On a personal level, I met my wife, a matron, at King’s, and both of our children were born here. Passionate about the NHS, I am committed to improving conditions for both staff and patients, continually striving to enhance our healthcare environment.
Tunde Jokosenumi – Admin, Clerical and Management
I am a corporate governance specialist, having recently completed an MSc in Corporate Governance at the London South Bank University. I am a full member of the Institute of Chartered Secretary and Administrators as a graduate of the institute. I have lived within the community for more than 25 years. I currently work on the help desk at King’s College Hospital, where I manage confidentiality of information.
I am also involved with the London Football Association as a football referee, am a member of the Southwark Council Landlords and Tenants committee, and a member of the Quality Review team at the Trust. I am also the Secretary to a community charity organisation that is responsible to the Trust Chairman, providing support, challenging scrutiny and having oversight of the charity’s services.
