Viral hepatitis

What we do

We are the largest specialist treatment centre for viral hepatitis in the UK, with a strong commitment to excellence. We provide cutting-edge care for patients with viral hepatitis B and C, and specialise in treating people who also have (are co-infected with) hepatitis D or HIV. Whenever possible, we offer treatments that have high cure rates and few side effects.

Exceptional treatment and care

We hold weekly clinics in the liver outpatients department (LOPD). Clinics are led by our integrated team of skilled liver doctors and clinical nurse specialists, ensuring that you receive expert care tailored to your needs. We strive to provide the best possible care, information and results for every patient. We are here to support you on your journey towards a healthier future.

Taking part in research trials

To increase the chances of successful treatment, many of our patients take part in clinical trials. By joining a trial you can benefit from potentially groundbreaking therapies, and be part of advancing hepatitis treatment. During research trials your wellbeing remains our top priority.

Combining clinical and scientific expertise

To assess your condition thoroughly and offer you the most effective treatment, we have our own dedicated hepatitis laboratory. This facility has the latest diagnostic technologies and is staffed by experienced professionals who work closely with our doctors and nurses. By combining clinical expertise with advanced laboratory capabilities, we ensure a comprehensive approach to your care.
