Biography
Miss Johns qualified in 1994 with honours in Surgery at University College London. She undertook specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at North East Thames Deanery. After 5 years in the specialty she became a Clinical Research Fellow at University College London Hospital: her MD thesis was on Threatened Miscarriage and Obstetric Outcomes.
After completing her training she entered the specialist register in 2008 and was appointed at King’s College Hospital as a Consultant in the Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Assessment Unit. Her main areas of interest are diagnosis and management of early pregnancy problems, gynaecology ultrasound and outpatient diagnostics and ambulatory gynaecology. She is also the lead clinician for paediatric and adolescent gynaecology and obstetric haematology, running an obstetric haematology antenatal clinic with the haematology team.
