Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs)

What we do

We provide all-round care for people with neuroendocrine tumours (NETs).

We are a specialist European centre treating patients referred from London, Kent, Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex. We also treat patients from around the UK, as well as abroad. The centre was awarded Centre of Excellence status in 2012 from the European NET Society, and has been at the forefront of providing a specialist and comprehensive NET service for more than 20 years.

Our team offers specialist treatment and care for people with:

  • NETs in any part of the body
  • carcinoid heart disease
  • carcinoid syndrome.

Your care may include a combination of treatments. You may have them at King’s, Guy’s or St Thomas’ Hospital, or your local oncology centre. Our cancer care web pages have more information about the cancer care provided at King’s.

You may also be asked if you would like to take part in medical trials.

Preparing for your appointment

If you have print outs of test results and a list of your current medications, please bring them with you.

Please note: appointments to see the NET team are held within the Liver Outpatients Department. Please be reassured that this does not mean you are being seen for a problem with your liver.
