Clinical nurse specialist flushing IV line of patient having chemotherapy

As a patient at King’s College Hospital you will have most of your treatment here but there may be occasions when you will need to attend Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, which is one of our partner hospitals, or at other specialist cancer hospitals with which we have links.

We tailor all your care to your needs, depending on the type of cancer you have. As part of your care, you may have treatments including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, or drug or biological therapies, or a combination of these options.

We may ask you if would like to take part in a research study or a clinical trial as part of your treatment, to help us improve patient care. We only offer this for certain cancer types and/or medical conditions. You can refuse to take part. This will not affect your treatment in any way. If you would like more information about taking part in a clinical trial, please ask your hospital doctor.
