Disruption to pathology services

04 June 2024 - Synnovis, the Trust’s pathology provider, have confirmed that they have been the victim of a ransomware cyber attack.

Please see our updated advice

This is having a significant impact on the delivery of NHS services in our hospitals, as well as across partner organisations in mental health, community and primary care services across south east London.

Regrettably some patient care is having to be cancelled or redirected to other providers as urgent care is prioritised. We apologise for the inconvenience this is causing to patients and their families.

People should continue to attend appointments unless contacted, and our Emergency Departments remain open for urgent and emergency care.

As always, please continue to use 111 online as the first port of call for health needs, and only use 999 if it is a serious or life-threatening emergency. For more information on when to call 999 and when to go to A&E, you can visit the NHS website.

We are working urgently with the appropriate organisations to fully understand the impact of this incident and take the appropriate action, and will continue to provide updates on our website.
