Mentoring mammography students

This short workshop will provide an overview of the King’s/LSBU mammography training pathway and workshop assessment methods, teaching and learning strategies, giving feedback and a group discussion on training challenges and how to overcome them.

Course date:

  • Wednesday 6 September 2023, 9am to 11am via MS Teams

Free of charge for mentors of current King’s/London South Bank University (LSBU) mammography students. £60 for other delegates.

Mammography Clinical attachments

We are currently not taking any bookings for clinical attachments.

Clinical attachments take place in King’s Breast Radiology Department. They are not training courses but are aimed at health professionals who want to learn more about the latest practices in breast radiology. They are open to UK and overseas applicants and placements may be limited to a maximum of two weeks, depending on capacity.

As there are strict candidate requirements, requests for attachments must be made as far in advance as possible to enable all procedures to be completed before the start date.

Contact our Training Centre for more information.

Mammography Clinical Update Training

Mammographers can choose for their update to be delivered either remotely (distance learning), or face-to-face during a hands-on, one-day placement at King’s College Hospital. The remote version is delivered in stages, removing the need for mammographers to take significant time out of their daily duties or for clinics to be cancelled to accommodate the update. Our clinical update programme is endorsed by the College of Radiographers.

Contact our Training Centre for more information.

Remote version – £150 per mammographer.
Face-to-face version at King’s – £285 per mammographer.
