Cystic fibrosis, adult
What we do
King’s Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Service offers comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and home care. We offer all our patients a yearly assessment of their condition and treatment plan.
We have a specialist inpatient Adult CF Unit, on Lonsdale Ward. We also run three segregated outpatient clinics every week.
We also hold specialist clinics for patients with CF-related diabetes. Our specialist nurses provide a home care service, together with physiotherapists and dieticians.
We manage CF-related complications with the support of King’s specialist diabetes, liver, microbiology, gastroenterology, physiology, cardiothoracic, and radiology services.
We take part in several multi-centre clinical trials and have an active clinical research programme.
Out of hours
If you need urgent out of hours medical advice for a CF-related issue (weekdays after 5pm, weekends and on bank holidays), please contact Lonsdale Ward on 020 3299 8654 and speak to one of the ward CF nurses.
