Biography

Mr Parthi Srinivasan obtained his medical qualifications from the University of Madras in 1989. He trained in General Surgery in the Republic of Ireland and UK, and in 1993 he was awarded the Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow.

He was awarded the Inter-Collegiate Fellowship (FRCS-Gen Surg) with subspeciality interest in Transplantation by the Royal College of Surgeons in 2003. In 2006 he was appointed Consultant Surgeon for Liver Transplantation, and Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at King’s.

His clinical research interests include islet cell transplantation and he has helped to develop a successful programme at King’s. His main interests include liver transplantation, transplantation from living donors, surgery for malignant diseases of the liver, biliary tract and pancreas, and modern techniques such as laparoscopic surgery in the management of patients with Hepato-Pancreato-Billiary diseases. He has performed well over 1000 Liver Transplant and complex HPB operations.
