Biography

Dr Salisbury qualified from University College London in 1980 and trained as a pathologist at University College Hospital and King’s College Hospital, London. He was appointed Clinical Senior Lecturer to King’s College School of Medicine and Dentistry, and Honorary Consultant Histopathologist to King’s College Hospital, in 1987. He was promoted to Reader in Histopathology in 1997, was Clinical Director of Histopathology from 1997 to 2004, and Head of the Clinical Service for Histopathology from 2011 to 2018.

Dr Salisbury’s specialist interests are haematopathology, dermatopathology, autopsy pathology and osteoarticular pathology. He has written two books, one on bone and joint diseases and one on molecular pathology, as well as several book chapters and over 150 articles in academic journals.

Research
