Biography
Dr George Amin-Youssef is a comprehensive Consultant Cardiologist specialising in Heart failure and Echocardiogram at King’s College Hospital. His expertise includes acute and chronic systolic and diastolic heart failure, advanced inpatient care (including ECMO and balloon pump support), specialist outpatient clinics – cardio-oncology, and multidisciplinary collaboration working with surgical, ITU, obstetric, and electrophysiology teams.
Dr Amin-Youssef is an accredited imaging specialist with extensive experience in all forms of echocardiography, including TTE, TOE, and stress echo, and a senior leader within one of the UK’s largest echocardiography departments.
He is actively involved in service development and leadership, including redesign and expansion of heart failure services, echocardiography service management, and establishment of stress echo and rapid access chest pain clinics.
Dr Amin-Youssef is highly committed to education, with over 25 years’ experience teaching medical students, cardiology trainees, nurses, sonographers, and GPs.
