Biography

Dr Dennis Bielecki is an academic diagnostic radiologist with over 25 years’ experience in bone and joint radiology. He graduated with Honours (Summa Cum Laude) from the Medical College of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland and completed radiology residency training in the US.

His strengths include teaching radiology and high-volume plain film interpretation with a strong interest in bone diseases, particularly inflammatory and non-inflammatory diseases of the joints and spine, chest and abdomen. He uses structured VR reporting to streamline the process. His interests include inflammatory and non-inflammatory arthridites, crystal deposition diseases, and the sero-negative spondyloarthropathies. He is an experienced educator of medical students, residents, registrars and fellows. He presents lectures and case conferences weekly, and mentors first year trainees.

Currently, he is Senior MSK Specialist Radiologist. He is also Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Imaging Sciences at King’s College, London. He is a member of the Arthritis, Pediatric MSK and Osteoporosis & Metabolism subcommittees of the European Skeletal Society (ESSR), a member of the BSSR, a member of the Polish Medical Radiology Society in the Musculoskeletal Section and Editor-in-Chief of Radiology Online Journal.

He is responsible for conventional radiology reporting and training registrars and radiographers. He is also involved in mentoring medical students who want to become radiologists.

Dr Bielecki loves to teach MSK radiology and anatomy and has or can develop conference or seminar presentations on any major osseous disease process. He has given over 200 various lectures in his career.

As a research fellow at UCSD, working under the tutelage of Donald Resnick, he was involved in the publication of six peer-reviewed research papers. Dr Bielecki has published over 35 papers and educational presentations in peer-reviewed journals and at international conferences.
