PRUH staff recognised for supporting Bromley residents

31 May 2022 - NHS staff across Bromley were honoured at the first-ever One Bromley awards

One Bromley is a local care partnership made up GP practices, social care and hospital trusts across South East London, who work with Bromley Council and voluntary services to provide joined up and personalised care for local residents. Working together in this way means health services can be better co-ordinated and help residents receive the care they need.

The One Bromley Celebration Event – which took place on Thursday (19 May) – recognised the commitment and resilience of individuals and teams to support residents and each other during the pandemic.

Teams across the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH), including those who support young people with disabilities and provide specialist support to emergency care patients, were among those that attended the event and received awards.

The Trust was recognised on the night and awarded:

The residents shaping and influencing integrated care award

The PRUH collaborated with Bromley College to support young people with education needs and disabilities secure job placements and work experience.

The integrated response to the COVID-19 pandemic award

NHS staff across Bromley – including staff from the PRUH– supported the roll out of the vaccination programme.

GP practices, pharmacies and hospitals delivered hundreds of thousands of vaccines at the mass vaccination site at Bromley Civic Centre and through a range of pop-up clinics to reach different communities.
