2025 Adult Inpatient Survey

24 June 2025 - Patients wanted to participate in focus groups to help develop the 2025 Adult Inpatient Survey.

Have you had an overnight NHS hospital stay in the last six months? And are you 16 years or older?

If the answers to both of these questions are yes, the National Patient Survey Team would welcome your expression of interest in attending a 90-minute informal patient group discussion to discuss your experiences of using NHS inpatient services. Feedback from these discussions will develop the 2025 Adult Inpatient questionnaire.

Key information:

• Two focus groups will be conducted virtually with maximum of five patients in each group.
• Each focus group discussion will last up to 90 minutes.
• Each focus group will be led by a researcher from the survey team.
• Participants will be rewarded for their participation with a £60 ‘Love to shop’ or ‘Amazon’ voucher

Who can take part?

People who are 16 years or older, who have used an NHS Adult Inpatient service at least once in the last six months. Participants will be asked to complete a simple screening survey to ensure a representative sample.
