In one year at King’s (1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026):

• over 33,000 patients took part in a research study
• 245 research studies started
• £12.3 million in income was generated for the Trust through commercial research

We are a top 10 NHS Trust for recruiting to NIHR portfolio trials.

From 2005 to 2025, more than 275,000 patients took part in research projects across our hospitals.
