Biography
Ms Miriam Parry is the Parkinson’s Disease Nurse Consultant at King’s College Hospital, a Parkinson’s Foundation Centre of Excellence. She is also the Regional Clinical Lead for London within the Parkinson’s UK Excellence Network.
She specialises in the management of complex Parkinson’s disease and Parkinsonism, with particular expertise in motor and non-motor symptoms, neuropsychiatry, cognition and advanced infusion therapies. Ms Parry leads multidisciplinary care pathways, contributes to service development in line with NICE guidance, and supports education and training across the Trust.
She is actively involved in national and international teaching, including for Parkinson’s UK, the Parkinson’s Disease Nurse Specialist Association and the Movement Disorder Society, and teaches on neuroscience modules at King’s College London and London South Bank University. She founded the King’s Parkinson’s nurse specialist online education platform in 2019.
Ms Parry is part of the Movement Disorders research team at King’s, with research interests in non-motor symptoms and infusion therapies in Parkinson’s disease, and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals.
