Important update to your medication delivery
This webpage is for patients under the care of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust who have medicines delivered to them by a company called Alcura.
We are writing to let you know about a change to how you receive your medicines. From July 2026, your current delivery service will move from Alcura to King’s College Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy (KFM / King’s Facilities Management), based at Denmark Hill.
What this means for you
There will be no interruption to your treatment, and you will continue to receive your medicines as normal. The main change is that the KFM Outpatient Pharmacy team will now provide your medicines.
Your delivery options
You will be able to choose how you would like to receive your medicines:
- Locker collection: Collect your medicines from a secure locker at King’s College Hospital, Denmark Hill (SE5 9RS) at a time that suits you
- Home delivery: Your medicines will be delivered directly to your home address
Do I need to do anything?
You do not need to take any action at this stage.
The KFM Outpatient Pharmacy team will contact you before your supplier changes, to discuss how you would like to receive your medicines and arrange delivery.
Please note this call may appear as a withheld or unknown number.
If you have any prescription or clinical queries, please continue to contact your usual clinical team.
Why is this changing?
This change is part of ongoing work to improve the efficiency and reliability of how medicines are provided. By managing this service within King’s, we aim to offer a more consistent and streamlined service for patients.
Your information
To support your care, we will share your details with the KFM Outpatient Pharmacy team and delivery providers where necessary. Your personal information will always be handled securely and in line with NHS data protection rules.
