King’s named by Newsweek as one of the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals
23 September 2025 - King’s ranks among the world’s best medical institutions, according to a global survey covering more than 30 countries.

Newsweek has ranked King’s Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Gastroenterology services among the best in the world in its annual list of the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals, highlighting the leading hospitals worldwide in 12 medical fields.
King’s is ranked sixth out of the top 10 rankings for 125 Obstetrics and Gynaecology services, and is the only UK Trust to feature in the top 10 rankings for Gastroenterology services, which places King’s at number nine.

Newsweek’s figures are based on a global survey of medical professionals, including doctors, healthcare professionals and hospital managers, and covers a range of health services.
Other King’s services were also featured in the rankings, which features the top 300 hospitals for cardiology and oncology, the top 250 for paediatrics, the top 150 for cardiac surgery, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, orthopaedics and pulmonology, and the top 125 for neurosurgery, urology and obstetrics & gynaecology.
