22 September 2025 - Four Trust staff members gain academic promotions

Congratulations to four King’s clinicians who have been promoted as part of the 2025 academic promotions in King’s College London’s Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine.

Academic promotions are awarded to individuals who have shown excellence and dedication in their area of work.

Dr Lara Roberts, Consultant Haematologist, has been promoted to Professor of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.

Mr Amyn Haji, Consultant Colorectal and Laparoscopic Surgeon, and Dr Kai Lee, Consultant Respiratory Physician, have both gained the title of Honorary Reader.

Charles Reilly, Consultant Physiotherapist in Chronic Respiratory Disease, has been promoted to Adjunct Reader in Respiratory Care and Health Services Research.

Dr Mamta Shetty Vaidya, Chief Medical Officer, said: “Many congratulations to Lara, Amyn, Kai and Charles for these well-deserved promotions.

“They have all met the rigorous criteria for progression based on outstanding performance in the fields of clinical excellence, education, research and innovation.

“We are very proud of their work to improve patients’ lives by developing and transforming care and treatment.”
