Biography

Dr Donal McLornan, MB Bch (Hons) MRCP PhD FRCPath, has been working at King’s College Hospital for King’s Healthcare Partners since October 2010. He completed his postgraduate Haematology training in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Hammersmith Hospital, London and was awarded a 3-year Medical Research Council grant supporting a PhD investigating drug resistance / apoptosis in Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (Queen’s University, Belfast (2006-2009). He specialises in Myeloid disorders and Stem Cell Transplantation and has a particular interest in allografts for Myelofibrosis. He is also one of the clinical leads of KCH Apheresis services. Research interests include Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPN) and AML and he is jointly supervising an MD student investigating immunological aspects of MPN.
