What we do

The Pharmacy department at King’s College Hospital supplies all the medicines used in the hospital and dispenses more than 650,000 items each year.

We advise medical and nursing staff on which medicines to use and how to use them, and advise patients on managing their medicines.

Our unlicensed preparation unit (section 10 exemption) prepares more than 20,000 products each year. This includes chemotherapy infusions and specialist feeds (total parenteral nutrition feeds) for adults and children.
