Planning approval has been secured to expand the car park at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) in Bromley, creating 195 car parking spaces.

This is an important expansion to the car parking facilities at the PRUH. The Trust recognises the need for extra car parking for staff and patients, and this is an exciting development for the organisation.

The expansion will involve us installing a single-storey car parking deck in the main staff car park, located at the front of the PRUH as you enter from the A21/Farnborough Common Road, from the end of May 2022.

The car parking deck will be built off-site, which will help to limit the disruption to the day-to-day running of the hospital and reduce noise as much as possible, and is expected to open in November 2022.

As well as the car parking spaces, 40 electric vehicle charging points will be installed, maintaining the Trust’s commitment to a Greener NHS, as outlined in our Green Plan.

The hospital will be open as usual, and patients and visitors can continue to use the available car parking at the front of the hospital, including the drop off and collection bays.
