The CQC has today (Wednesday 12 June 2019) published the following reports:

  • Inspection Report for King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
  • NHS Improvement Use of Resources for King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

The CQC inspections and interviews took place between Wednesday 30 January 2019 and Thursday 21 February 2019.

The overall rating for the Trust remains Requires Improvement.

The Trust said:

"The report recognises improvements including maternity, end of life care and regarding patients with mental health conditions at King’s College Hospital (Denmark Hill). However there are areas that require focused attention in terms of patient care, staff morale and running our hospitals more effectively and efficiently. We have already taken immediate action to tackle the issues at the Princess Royal University Hospital Emergency Department and are working in partnership with internal staff groups to improve morale."

You can read the full report on the CQC website and further detailed information is on our CQC Results web page.
