Update on maternity ward at King's College Hospital

23 May 2019 - Bedbug treatment has been successful

King's sign

Following rigorous fumigation and deep cleaning, the maternity ward (William Gilliat) at Denmark Hill has been free of bedbugs for six weeks.

As a result, fumigation of the area will now cease and personal protective clothing is no longer required on the ward. However, the following precautionary measures will continue for the next three weeks:

  1. Regular ward checks will be carried out
  2. Restricted visiting will continue
  3. Patients will be given an updated letter and information sheet informing them of the current situation

We would like to thank those who have used the ward over the last few weeks for their support while the area was undergoing treatment.
