Advice and guidance for our patients

05 January 2018 - Details for using our services

King's arch infront of Golden Jubilee Wing

At the moment our hospitals are very busy. Our staff are working hard to ensure that we provide our patients with the high quality care and support they require.

Therefore we would ask the public to help us as much as possible. If you have a non-life threatening condition, call the free NHS 111 service for advice before coming into one of our Emergency Departments. This will help our staff focus their care on the sickest patients.

What to do if you have an appointment at one of our hospitals

All cancer, clinically urgent and time-critical procedures will go ahead as planned. Patients with any appointments or planned operations should attend our hospitals as normal unless they are contacted by us.

Norovirus at the Princess Royal University Hospital

Please note that we have taken the decision to close all wards to visitors at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) because of an outbreak of Norovirus in the community and some cases in the hospital. Our top priority is the safety and wellbeing of all patients so we are taking this precaution to prevent the virus from spreading. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
