HRH The Duchess of Cambridge

King’s College Hospital welcomed HRH The Duchess of Cambridge on Monday 12 June. The Duchess of Cambridge met with staff in the Emergency Department who helped to treat patients brought to King’s on the night of the incident.

Having a keen interest in mental health, The Duchess of Cambridge spoke specifically with Dr Malcolm Tunnicliff, Clinical Director of Emergency Medicine at King’s, and Dr Muj Husain, Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist at South London and Maudsley, about the psychological impact of terrorist attacks on patients and staff alike and the kind of support that they needed.

She also visited two of the wards and met with patients who were brought to King's following the incident.
