The King’s Council of Governors has selected Richard Trembath to the role of Non-Executive Director at the Trust.
Professor Trembath has a long career in health and research. He is currently the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine at King’s College London (KCL). He has previously worked at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), where he was Vice-Principal for Health, and has also been Executive Dean of the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Professor Trembath trained in Medicine at Guy's Hospital Medical School. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and a former Senior Investigator for the National Institute of Health Research. He was a founding Director of the National Institute for Health Research Comprehensive Biomedical Research Centre in association with Guy's & St Thomas's NHS Foundation Trust.
Professor Trembath took up his role on Monday 5 December as the Board member nominated by King’s College London.
King’s Chair, Lord Bob Kerslake, said, “I am delighted to welcome Richard Trembath to the Board at King’s. He has a wealth of experience in health and research, and I look forward to working with him."
