King’s prepares for the Olympics

04 July 2012 - Information for patients

King’s will be operating a normal service throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer.

However, we know London is going to be busy, so we have launched a dedicated section on our website to help patients coming to King’s between July and September.

We have put posters up in all of our outpatient areas advising patients to check their travel routes when coming to King’s, and to allow plenty of time for their journeys.

The information screens in outpatients have also been updated, and we have distributed information to our local GPs to pass onto patients.

Throughout the Games, we will be updating the switchboard, our website and Twitter with the latest travel advice and information related to getting to King’s, so make sure you check Get Ahead of the Games before travelling.

The Olympic Torch will be passing King’s on Coldharbour Lane on Thursday, 26 July. Patients visiting the Trust on this day may experience delays coming onto the hospital site, so please allow extra time if attending for an appointment.
