Event programme
King’s Critical Care is the largest critical care service in the UK. As part of our expansion and the construction of a new Critical Care Centre, we want to explore ways of improving long-term outcomes for survivors of critical illness and their families. Approximately 300,000 people a year are admitted to critical care units in the UK, and this is predicted to rise by 5 per cent per year. GPs will increasingly see patients who have had complex, prolonged and multiple admissions to critical care.

This meeting is an opportunity to help improve patient care across their whole journey, from resuscitation to rehabilitation. We will look at the consequences and implications of medicines started in critical care and procedures such as percutaneous tracheostomies. Resources that are available to General Practitioners will also be explored. For more details King's Critical Care - Collaborative meeting agenda.
