The King’s College Hospital Charity is one of 294 NHS-linked charities in England and Wales. It is registered with the Charity Commission.
The charity’s mission is to:
“Assist and support the King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust – and, where considered appropriate, other bodies relating to the NHS in England – in order to enhance services and facilities for patients and the working environment for staff, and to support research for the ultimate benefit of patients.”
Its annual expenditure is derived from fundraising activities, donations and investments.
Grants are channelled into four core areas:
- Providing state-of-the-art equipment and technology
- Improving the hospital environment
- Supporting the welfare of patients and staff
- Funding research and the development of pioneering new treatments
Working with other NHS fundraising bodies, NHS Foundation Trusts and dedicated professional investment managers, the charity is committed to good governance and its activities are overseen by an unpaid Board of Trustees.
You can make a difference and help King’s plan for the future by making a donation, taking part in events or volunteering. For more information, visit the King's College Hospital Charity website.
