Recovery Support Programme

On Monday 11 December 2017, King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was placed in Financial Special Measures by NHS Improvement.

In July 2021, the Trust was automatically enrolled into the Recovery Support Programme, which recently replaced the Financial Special Measures programme.

As previously communicated, we want to reassure our patients and staff that all our services continue to run as normal. The Trust has made significant progress over the past two years, particularly in reducing our financial deficit at the same time as managing the challenges and pressures presented by COVID-19.

However, we recognise there is a lot more work to do, and further improvements to be made, and the Recovery Support Programme will help ensure we continue to work with our partners in south east London to build better and more sustainable services for our patients.
