We are one of the largest centres in the UK for endocrine surgery, which involves operating and treating endocrine glands, ie, the thyroid, the parathyroid, the adrenal and the pancreas.
Our expertise includes surgery and treatment of difficult, complex, recurrent, familiar and malignant endocrine disease. We serve as a tertiary and international referral centre for these conditions, cooperating closely with endocrinology and nuclear medicine, endocrine pathology and cancer genetics.
We also run run a busy thyroid cancer MDT and large outpatient clinics for cancer follow-up. Surgery for cancer of the adrenal and neuroendocrine tumours of the pancreas is provided as expert speciality. Therapy is coordinated with and through the neuroendocrine MDT wherever multimodal therapy is needed. King's Endocrine Surgery is a forerunner in endocrine day surgery and minimal access surgery.
