Smoking and alcohol at King's

Our smoking and alcohol policies aim to help make King's a pleasant and safe environment for you, other patients, visitors and our staff. Please help us by keeping to them.

Can I smoke at King’s?

We have a no-smoking policy and hope you will not smoke while you are at King’s.

If you do want to smoke, please use one of our special smoking areas. Your ward sister or charge nurse will tell you where your nearest smoking area is. Please do not smoke outside the main entrance to the hospital.

If you would like information on giving up smoking, please ask a nurse.

Can I drink alcohol at King’s?

We do not allow alcohol on our wards. Drinking alcohol might affect your treatment. Please tell a doctor or nurse if you have any concerns.
