British Medical Association - industrial action
King's services on Thursday 21st June.
The British Medical Association’s (BMA) day of action is taking place on Thursday 21 June 2012 in response to the Government’s planned pension reforms.
At King’s, we have put in place arrangements to minimise the impact of the industrial action on patient services.
To reassure our patients, we would like to make the following clear:
- The vast majority of services – including planned operations, day surgery and outpatients – will be provided as per usual
- All urgent and emergency services, for example accident and emergency, maternity, intensive care and urgent or emergency surgery will be provided as usual.
- A small number of outpatient clinics have been cancelled, and those patients affected have already been informed.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and will make every effort to provide a normal a service as possible.
