Carol Bell - Joint Staff Committee

Carol Bell

Elected as Governor through the Staff Side Committee, I see it as my responsibility to ensure that the needs and rights of staff are taken into consideration in decisions made by the Council of Governors. My varied experience working across the Trust, in different roles and with different staff groups, has given me a greater understanding of both patients and staff.

As a Social Scientist and a Union Officer, policy, strategy and equality are important to me. As a Governor I look forward to addressing these issues particularly where they affect particular groups for example women, in areas such as personal development; parent and child-friendly initiatives. I also intend to contribute towards strengthening the links between King’s and the community it serves.
