Have your say

Your views and comments are important to us. Whether you are a patient, carer, relative or friend, we want to know what you think of our services and the care we provide so we can ensure we meet the expectations of the diverse local community that King’s serves.

There are many ways in which you can get your voice heard and let King's know what you like about the Trust and what we need to improve.

Your comments, suggestions… and compliments

Want to comment on any aspect of the care and services we provide and suggest how we can make improvements? Or perhaps you want to thank a member of staff for the care they have given you, a relative or friend, or to tell us how much you valued a particular service at King’s.

Contact us to tell us what we are doing well - and what we need to do better. You can also nominate any member of our staff, volunteers or contract workers for a King's Commendation, a special award that recognises people who make outstanding contributions to patient care or hospital services.

Patient surveys

Nurse with patient

If you are an inpatient, outpatient, day surgery patient or dental patient at the Trust, you can tell us about your experiences here and if there are any changes you would like made by filling in one of our How are we doing? surveys.

And if you are a carer, relative, friend or visitor, you can let us know your views by filling in one of our How are we doing? comment cards. You will find special boxes around the hospital where you can post your completed card.

Queries or concerns about care

Contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) if you have any queries or concerns about the care you or a relative or friend has received at King’s.

PALS offers a wide range of support, advice and assistance, such as helping with problems that you have not been able to sort out with staff on a ward or in a clinic. They also listen to your views on how King’s can improve its services and can help you with making a complaint.

Making a complaint

Are you unhappy with the care you, a relative or friend has received at King’s. Or have you had problems using our services? We offer a number of ways in which you can make a complaint, from arranging for you to talk through the problem with a member of staff on the ward or clinic involved or asking PALS to help resolve the dispute, to making a formal complaint to our Complaints Department.
